Everything you need to build a vocabulary — nothing you don't

No account, no cloud, no clutter. Just words, learned properly.

3,600 hand-curated words

600 for each CEFR level from A1 to C2. Every word comes with its IPA pronunciation, a natural example sentence, and often an alternative meaning.

13 languages, both ways

English, Turkish, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Hungarian, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Chinese and Russian. Pick your native language and learn any of the others.

Truly offline

All 3,600 words ship inside the app, and your progress is stored on your phone. Learn on a plane, on the metro, anywhere — no connection needed.

Spaced repetition

Words come back for review on a schedule designed to move them into long-term memory — not just past tomorrow's quiz.

Two ways to quiz

Answer multiple-choice questions, or type the word yourself when you're ready to prove you really know it.

Hear every word

Pronunciation is generated on your device by the phone's built-in text-to-speech engine. Nothing is downloaded, nothing is uploaded.

My Words

Add your own words to any level and learn them right alongside the built-in ones.

Built for a daily habit

A daily goal, a streak counter, per-level progress and study statistics keep you coming back — with an optional daily reminder if you want a nudge.

And yes — full, first-class dark mode. This page follows your system theme too.

How it works

Three steps, one growing vocabulary

  1. Choose your languages

Pick your native language, then pick a language you want to learn — any pairing of the 13 works.

  2. Study by CEFR level

Work through 600 words at your level, from A1 beginner to C2 mastery, each with pronunciation and a real example sentence.

  3. Review until it sticks

Spaced repetition brings words back at the right moment, and quizzes — multiple choice or typing — lock them in.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly

Is VocabLearn free?

Yes — completely free, supported by ads. There is no paid version. You start with two learning languages included; if you want to add another language, or jump ahead to a higher CEFR level before finishing your current one, you can unlock it by watching a short rewarded ad. Watching is always your choice.

Does it work offline?

Fully. All 3,600 words and their translations are bundled inside the app — nothing is fetched from a server. Your progress is stored on your phone, and pronunciation is generated on-device. Every part of learning works without an internet connection.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-up, no email, no password and no cloud sync. You open the app and start learning.

Why do I see ads?

Ads are what keep the app free. They're served by Google AdMob and kept out of your way: a full-screen ad appears only when you leave a quiz results screen — never during a quiz. Rewarded ads are entirely optional and only play when you choose to watch one.

Which languages are supported?

Thirteen, both as the interface language and as a language you can learn: English, Turkish, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Hungarian, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Chinese and Russian. You pick a native language and learn any of the others.

Is my data private?

Your learning data — the words you add, your progress and settings — stays on your phone, and you never create an account. The app uses Google services (AdMob for ads, and Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for usage insights and crash reports), which process some device data on Google's side. We don't sell your data. The full details are in our privacy policy.
